Sorry to be the 'rain on the parade' girl here, but people food is a big no no for yorkies. Their digestive systems are not built to process the kind of stuff we eat and pancreatitis can develop easily and have serious effects. Many kids also have reactions to corn/wheat products. The amount of sugar in syrup can send their regulatory systems out of balance fast.
If you feel a need to 'treat' with something other than kibble, a spoonful of vanilla yogurt, dab of Peanut butter, tiny bits of boiled chicken, plain carrots, green beans and cheerios as training treats work well.

My peeka, just loves pancakes, and pizza, and especially christmas oranges, and watermelon, i swear sometimes he really thinks he is people! who can blame him, I love all my furkids so very much, and spoiled rotten
