Petco accidentally kills dog... Wow.

My second issue is those type of dryers....when I was using a groomer, they used hand blowers.....that should be something people look for when using a groomer....do they use a hand blow dryer?

That is the exact criteria I started with when seeking a groomer for Teddy. The Crufts groomer who has her own very busy grooming service refused to use them and the mobile groomer refuses to use them. If they even offered these dryer types as options, I would find another groomer.

Now Petco is stating that they never use heat in their cage dryers. How come the dogs temperature was so high hours after it's death.
"As a result, the individuals directly involved are no longer part of our company,” Petco said in a Thursday statement. “While we’ve confirmed that no heat was used, and is not used in any of our grooming salon dryers, as an additional measure, the type of kennel dryer Colby was housed in has been removed from service in all Petco stores.”

That's just damage control. What type of kennel dryer were they using then? They fail to mention that. Obviously it uses heat to dry the dog and kill Colby. Will never give PetCo my business.

Too little, too late. I also don't like that media is calling this an "accident". It's NOT! It was simply carelessness and neglect. If this was a child, the person responsible would've been charged with involuntary manslaughter.

I do not believe them! I have seem the Drying Cages myself at the local Petsmart so I know there use is common.
