Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Little Dixie is coming home! I'm finally going to get my new little girl tomorrow! I'm sooo excited that I can't sit still. Little does Bonnie know she will be getting a sister. She's going to be a little smaller than I had planned but since I picked her out at 10 days old, it's hard to be definitive on size. I'll post pics tomorrow. She has her first vet visit (with me) on Monday and she has already had her first two sets of shots and a puppy health check. Any suggestions on introductions for the girls would be appreciated. I know Bonnie will love her but I don't want her to scare Dixie with her rambunctious behavior. Also, the are not currently on the same food so when would be the best time to start transitioning her? |

YT 3000 Club Member | I would keep her on the same food for a week or so until she is settled it, because everything is new and stressful, and then over a week or so change to a diiferent food depending on what she is eating now, good luck |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | We're home and all is well, just tired. Dixie is doing well and I hope to post pics tomorrow. The only thing is that she hasn't pooped all day. I'm hoping that it's just because she's stressed. |

| She is adjusting to everything new around her! Congratulations! Dont change her food the breeder had her on for AT LEAST several months, or you will risk jumping on that DogFoodMerryGoRound, and only end up stressing her out about food and what to eat....leave her on her diet she is familiar with, then change it if you decide it necessary, along about 8 months old when you go to adult food.....cant wait to see pics! |

Congratulations and wooo hooo!!! I'm sure things will gradually calm down, it's a big upheaval for her and I'm sure Bonnie will teach her what to do! With all you're going through, you deserve the happiest, most wonderful time this world has to offer. Hugs from over here xx

She's 12 1/2 weeks and weighs 1.8 lbs. the breeder has her on RC starter but also gives her Cesar's mixed in on the first meal of the day. So far no poop this morning but she's eating well and playing. She follows me everywhere so I'm back to the tiny puppy shuffle and no shoes on in the house...lol. I'm so glad she's home! |
