| My dad seems to bond better with small, hairless dogs, but when he loses a big dog he cries like a baby!

| My husband is also the yorkie owner in our house. I love our yorkie, but I've always been a poodle person and have a pair of sweet toy poodles. He/we had our last yorkie for 16 years, and it broke hubby's heart when we lost him. Now we have Ranger, a 2 year old jumbo shrimp that we rescued six months ago. They are inseparable! So no, you're not alone. Diana |

| Nothing unmanly bout having toy breed dogs. I have 3 male friends, one has a Cairn Terrier, one a little Pug and one has 3 yorkies. Wed. I was outside a restaurant with Cody waiting for my take out order, this 6'2" young fellow comes over, bends down and starts talking baby talk to Cody lol, He was so cute and Cody was just eating it up lol. When I worked in Manhattan (NY) the guy that was walking the toy breed was the guy that had all the gals stopping him to make a fuss over his dog / dogs. The guy that walked his big dog, walked alone lol.

| I don't need a big dog to be manly....I like big dogs but after working long hours or having a hard day its hard to give a big dog all the time and exercise it needs to be happy. IME the Yorki is a big dog stuck in a small body. With short legs so they get tired pretty fast. i can keep up. I tell my buddies it not fair to the dog. I converted few to getting a small dog... |
