YT 500 Club Member | Jumper Does anyone have a BIG jumper in their family? My 4 month boy is constantly running, sliding over floor and Jumps. He thinks he has to jump all the time and I mean all 4 legs straight up. I've tried pet steps, which he uses going up, but jumps down. I've tried removing the steps when I'm not sitting with him, but come around the corner and there he is, up on furniture. He is only 3.4 lbs as of last week. I'm watching him very carefully, but he's driving me nuts with his jumping. I swear he's half kangaroo! |

| Piper just can't wait--for pretty much anything! She'll get so excited and in such a hurry that she'll start her jump early, only to fall short in getting on the couch or the bed...and landing often with a thud. But before I can even react, she's making her second approach (successfully). It's the same for getting off of something, her decision to jump and actually doing so are simultaneous! Her escapades often make me cringe, but so far she seems to bounce back from her 'bad' bounces; they're a lot harder on me than they are on her (Piperl is @4 yrs old). |

| I know you said you had steps but would you consider trying a ramp instead? Here's a cheap DIY for one to try out. If it doesn't work, no big deal. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...d-jumpers.html As I said in other threads, Zoey wouldn't even go near the steps and Magnus would use it to go up but jump down. But after I placed the ramp, both use it to go up/down now. |

| Girlfriend calls my dog The Flying Rat. His biggest jump so far was off the Vet's exam table onto the floor. Ruger is fine, but the vet did say if he keeps that up he may develop joint problems. He also likes to walk around on top of the furniture like a cat. I got him some stairs to get on and off the bed but he'd rather jump. |
