| I have a yorkie poo I recently got a yorkiepoo and wondered if anyone else has one. I notice she has a lot of the yorkie traits from reading here. Her name is Zoey and I have no idea how old she is. I think I was lied to. She goes to her vet tomorrow so I'll post what she says tomorrow. I got her on the 7th and the lady said she was 8 wks old. BUT she has all her teeth, is pretty much housebroken and she knows sit, lay and "enough" when she whines. I can't crate her because she goes bezerk so I put her in the bathroom with pee pads when I leave the house. But she hasn't used the pee pads at all. She holds it. I take her out at 11pm and she waits til 7am to go back outdoors. Now tell me what you think. Is she 9 wks old? Last edited by Tay65; 05-16-2015 at 04:44 PM. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | She sounds older than that, but most breeders say that they are older not younger than what they are. How much does she weigh? I don't think a 9 week old can hold their pee all day, could she be peeing on the floor and it just drying up? I'm anxious to see what the vet says.

| I don't think she is 9 weeks old. Maybe she believed people want a young puppy.I guess I would like that she is trained so well! |

| I'm with her all day. She holds her pee all night. She's had 2 small accidents when I first brought her home and nothing since. I believe she's a pup from a previous litter. If I remember correctly, the othe puppies there looked smaller. I'm anxious to hear what the vet says too. What gets me are all the teeth! I shall see tomorrow at 3:30pm EST. It makes no difference, I just want to know her age. She's so sweet and lovable. |

I emailed the lady I got her from and asked politely to please tell me how old she is. Of course, she stuck to the 8 wks on the 7th. | |

| I'd be happy that she's already potty trained and listens to basic commands. The 2 small accidents is normal when introducing a dog to a new home even if they're potty trained. Doesn't sound like 8 weeks to me. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | That's a pretty good sign, she's older than 8 weeks, the vet can give you a fairly accurate estimate.

| We'll surprise surprise! She IS 9 wks old. I'm amazed. This puppy is such a great little girl. Now I'm wondering how did I get so lucky?!?! She's so smart and just about housebroken too. The vet said she'll be about 10-15lbs also. That I don't care about. It's nice to know though. She weighs 4.6lbs today and the vet said that's perfect. I honestly was worried she wasn't at a good weight. Just happy I really wasn't lied to about her age. |

| 10-15lbs is a very healthy weight. Means she's not the runt (teacup) of the liter. I wish I was as lucky as you to have a healthy smart puppy! Grats. Please keep training her new tricks and behaviors. Don't let that smartness go to waste. |

| Hi, I just wanted to say that I think Jaxon is adorable. I see the poodle in him and I love the silver coloring. I am a poodle fan and they are very smart as well. Such a sweet face.

I hope you understood all of that. I have a whole folder of resized pictures that I put on here. I am glad you were told the truth, and yeah, most breeders will say they are 8 weeks when they are really 5 or 6, not sell one at 8 weeks that is actually 14 or 16. Although I did have that happen with a cat I got 9 years ago (still have her). I was told she was 3-4 months old and took her to the vet and they laughed and said I was taken as that cat was not younger than 9 months! She ended up topping out at 6 lb, she was close to 5 when I got her. I am glad she is so smart. I just got 2 puppies that will be 11 weeks on Monday and they are doing okay potty training, but need some work still. They also prefer to go outside and they hold it from 11pm-6 or so (7 this morning). I have pee pads for them, but they are hit or miss if they use them. The littler girl puppy is better about using the pee pad if she has to, but the boy puppy does not like it. Good luck and she sounds lovely! I met a Yorkie Poo at Petsmart yesterday and she was just darling!
