| I want Piper to be friendly and social, but strangers are never permitted to hold her...I'm very guarded with strangers around Piper--no matter the time of day or the location. I think you showed excellent judgment in moving away from that guy; he was waaay too interested in your adorable baby! |

| Even if he was sincere, he's still a total stranger and it's good you avoided that situation cause you never know. I even heard that people who are trusted and such doing dog-napping and such, as well. Always trust your instinct. better safe than sorry. P.S. She is seriously adorable. I love my little Kimchi so much and even though she's about to turn 1 within a few weeks I missed her little "puppy"/baby look. They grow up too fast ; ; lol

| Adorable She is adorable, but all I think about is Big Bang Theory -- Penny (knock knock), Penny (knock knock), Penny. That is too cute. As for the creep, I don't blame you. We saw someone at our local Mexican restaurant leave their baby in the car to go in and eat. I was sitting in the car with our Zeus. It was not hot, and I don't think the dog was uncomfortable at all; however, I would never leave mine in the car for fear some nut would break the window and steal him. That would make me very angry! |

| She is so adorable. Definitely hold her close. She is highly steal-able. My human children were absolutely gorgeous and I was always thinking someone might try to steal them. Penny is the same. |

| That guy is a creep. No one with common sense would ask such a thing. With today's society, if he wanted to show his sister the dog, he could've just took out his smartphone and took a picture. Good thing you said no.. he was up to no good. |

| WHat a doll Penny is! And it is hard to walk that line between being rude and paranoid and possibly allowing your fur baby to get into a non safe situation. I have a teeny tiny little girl and EVERYONE wants to hold her. I allow petting but not holding- especially kids. I have had several children want to hold her. With them, as with anyone I don't know who asks (And it happens almost every time I go out with her) It's better to just be blunt and say.."she is very fragile and squirms a lot. I am not comfortable with taking the risk that she could be unjured- but thanks for asking" I have had a few of the adults insist that they know now to hold a puppy. In those cases I just smile and say " Thank you! I really appreciate that you think she's cute and want to hold her, but I don't know you and I am NOT comfortable allowing you to hold her" And I walk away.....No one has yet, but if they insisted after that, depending on the situation, I would drop all pretense of being polite and tell them to get the hell away from me and my dog. You were right to get away from the guy. Anyone who doesn't know you from adam who makes a request to take your dog away from you doesn't have even basic social skills, and probably not very good intentions. I'm not sure if I would even bother being polite. I would most likely have looked at him and said "Absolutely NOT! I don't know you at all. If you want your sister to see her then bring your sister here but this dog is not going anywhere!"
