				   | I am talking to the breeder of my puppy. She just got the puppies' first round of shots, and parvo was included. Now, she said they are hot and panting real hard. Is this normal reaction for the first round of shots?

				   | It can be normal for this to happen after shots. Just like w/ human children, they can run a slight fever after getting them. Most important is to make sure the pup continues to eat and watch them to make sure that he doesn't have a serious reaction. Although very rare, it can happen. |

				   | Thank you. I just read that, about getting a low fever. I am sure on a tiny puppy, it can seem a lot worse.

				   | I would definitely report this to the vet and get his/her opinion as ANY "reaction" to a vaccine is not good. Just to be safe please contact your vet...did they do a combo shot? I have heard that it is better for the pups to give just one shot at a time. Good luck with those babies... |
