YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() Reading about tags getting caught this evening must have been why this morning when I had to go work for a few hours I took Teek's collar off him. I don't know why I took it off him, but a little voice in my head told me to take it off since he would be in his crate and not running around outside where he could get loose and lost. When I got home a couple hours later I put his collar with ID tags back on. I never leave his harness on him. I put it on and take him outside and as soon as we come inside I take it off him. It also has an ID tag on it, just in case. In fact he has like 4 ID tags so no matter which harness I grab he always has an ID tag on him even though he has a collar with his ID. I think I do need to call the vet next week about getting him chipped to give me a little piece of mind.

| ![]() Hi all! Yes, this was definitely a freak accident. However, it just goes to show that so many weird things that we may never think about could happen which could be potentially fatal to these dogs. Although, I do confess that MOST dogs seem to be smarter than mine..LOL! Their fur or any dangly things like tags, which has been mentioned, can be so dangerous! It was kinda funny when it was all over, though, I have to admit. I mean, seriously, what dog goes around dragging his crate around by his head and what person screams WITH the dog in a panic dance trying to figure out what's wrong? I am not good in crisis situations! This is why I work BEHIND a desk, Teddy! ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() Dear Teddy, I understand what you went through buddy. I had a freak "accident" too. My furless sister was taking a shower so I took the liberty of looking in the bag that was on the table. I was so sure there was something for me. But it was a trap! The evil bag had captured me and I was trying to escape from its grasp but as the Borg would say... resistance was futile. When my furless sister came down and saw me, what do you think she did? One would think she'd be all panicked like your mama and be all about rescuing me. NO! She laughed and then went to get her camera. Take these humiliating pictures of me THEN, she FINALLY helped me. Don't worry Teddy. I wasn't hurt in that incident. AND! Sis felt little guilty for laughing/taking pictures before helping me out so she gave me some extra treats and loving! I hope you did too! With Love, Magnus ps. How would you like to have a older sister or a brother?! |
