| Xpen Questions... How Tall is Your Xpen? I am not sure if this has been discussed before. If so, please forgive me. I am wondering what is the suggested height for the Xpen? I purchased a 24inch one. My yorkiepoo is 3 months now. But, I am not sure if she's going to outgrow it. Right now, she's not showing any signs of being a jumper. But I dont know if that will change in the future. The cashier told me that I could bring it back if I didnt think it was going to be high enough. I havent left her at home alone (for a long time) in it b/c I fear that I am going to home and find that she's weazled her way out of it!! (I could just be paranoid!! LOl!) I am just wondering what size Xpen other members have? Last question, I put a painter's tarp (as suggested on here) under it, but it seems to make it slippery, allowing the gates to be easily pushed out when she touches the sides. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! |

| Coco's ex pen is about 30'' high. It's just perfect for her, she can't jump it (if she can, she's fooling us real good). I wouldn't put a tarp, it won't be as warm to her and the noise might scare her. I would just put some wee wee pads there for her to use.

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | Our x pen is 3ft tall...our two are not jumpers but we just wanted to make sure they wouldn't be able to hurt themselves. We don't put anything underneath it but we have hardwood floors so it doesn't matter for us...but I do know that some members have put an shower curtain under and that has really worked for them!!!

| I was thinking that the next size up might be a little better. I wish I could have brought both of them home just to see. She's actually fine with the tarp. At first, she did notice that it wasnt the same ole carpet that she had been used to. She has adjusted to it though. The pee-pee pads wont work for me! LOL!! HONEY, which is the name of my pup , likes to take them and play with them, biting on them and playing tug!! The only time I am sucessful with the pee-pee pad is when she really has to go the bathroom or if I am standing there guarding them! LOL! Quote:
