My friend Rita was a Yorkie breeder for several years , now she have Silky Terriers . She say they are calmer than Yorkies .

That is good to know and very attractive in a trait but I love the busy fun attitude
of the yorkie. I'll tell you though some are a bit too hyper.

A friend of mine, named Jo, who lives in Singapore has a Silky.....here are a few pics of her dog, just everyday pics for your comparison to Yorkies. I thought this may help. Her dog is named Love (boy) and he looks similar to a yorkie but he really does have distinct differences in his features...

Silky Terriers are wonderful dogs . This year , I will handle two at dogshows .

I won't get into the debate too much. I can tell point blank majority of the time when they come into the groom shop that they aren't yorkies. they are a bit larger, their coats are different, etc.

At a Yorkie Show I was able to see yorkies and Silkies up close and you can really see a difference....I knew right away which were the Silkies...

All the pix of Love looked just like a Yorkie to me - the only pix that looked different was the 5 month old pix. I guess my eye is just not good enough to see the difference in these pix.

I can see the difference in the snout in some of the other pix (not Love)

Yes! Kayko looks different - REALLY cute - but I can see the difference in the look of the face.
