| I just ordered this, what do you think? Well,I took Jess in to have her nails cut today (I dont do it since I made her bleed last time) and my vet asked me if she was still pulling so hard on her leash.I told him that she was and he showed me that she is hurting her hind feet by doing this and that we had to do something to stop her pulling otherwise she would end up deforming her toes and making her pads painfully thin. He gave me the link to a spanish website ( http://www.naturaplanet.com/?id=17&p...-1,107,157,153 ) and told me to buy a special anti pull harness to train her (the one in the picture attached but size mini). Iv seen this before on an American website and I wanted to know if it works? (I didnt know we could get them here) Also, could she pull it off? He said it would work because the leash atatches at the front etc. The only thing is,hes told me to stop using her 32ft retractable leash whilst I use this because otherwise it will confuse her..do you think it will work? I dont want her to be uncomfortable on her walks. |

| Two of my neighbors have those, they are called gentle leaders, they seem to work for them, when they pull it pulls their head down and they dont like that, they cant see where they are going,so they soon realize when they don't pull their head stay up. But they have big dogs.

| It seems pretty gentle because there is no pressure on the throat, the pressure is on the muzzle and on the back of the neck,I just hope she cant get it off. |

| Premier also makes something called the Easy Walk. It's a harness that attaches in the front, lower than a collar. It reduces pulling significantly because if they pull they just end up turning in a circle. You can also try to teach her to heel. Use a dowel rod or stick or even a long wooden spoon and put some peanut butter or spray cheese or something on it. Hold it by your side and walk in a random pattern and when she catches up to you give her a lick. This might teach her it is better to walk by your side so she gets yummy treats. Alternatively, if she starts to pull on the leash - stop. When she gives some slack in the leash start walking again. Yes you will look like an idiot to your neighbors but she might learn that she only gets to move if she does not pull.

| Gentle Leader This product is called a "gentle leader". Yes it is very effective for the purpose your vet intends. I suggest you give it a try. Here is the website here in the US. And also do a google search on "gentle leader" it is sold on many webpages. How it works...... http://www.premier.com/pages.cfm?id=17 The Gentle Leader® Headcollar is scientifically designed to work with a dog's natural instincts to respond to and obey his pack leader. Dogs don't speak human - they communicate with each other through body language, physical and vocal interaction. Because it applies pressure in the same manner and location as the pack leader or mother dog, Gentle Leader® helps you "speak your dog's own language," telling him both physically and psychologically that you are his leader! |

| This works great with a dog that pulls as it forces them to keep turning around in a circle. I used it on one of mine but I also had his harness on so if I needed to bring him back in a hurry or pick him up in a hurry I was using his harness instead of his neck to pick him up.
