That happened to my mothers cat...he/she was Dolly....lol...was both a boy and girl and lived a long 18 years lol

Many people question Cocos breed, and think he is a mutt. Many people tell me that yorkies are supposed to be 5-6 pounds, silky long hair, tan- to black coat. 7-8 inches tall from the shoulder. however, coco is a whopping 10 pounds, (i dont over feed him) he has silky head, but a wooly coat on the rest of his body..

what do you guys think? could he be full breed? or a mutt?

Because of overbreeding etc., its hard to tell, but your pup looks Yorkie to me, veryyyyyy cute toooooooooooo!!! Gorgeous.

My sis inlaw has a Yorkie that is definitely definitely definitely half Yorkie and half Maltese and I'm telling you up close you can not tell that pup is part maltese and yet the sister "looks" maltese, same litter....weird....

You might want to have you vet check out the yorkie standard. It's not possible for a vet to know the standard of every breed of dog but he should know better then to say they don't get over a certain weight.

True, my vet even admits that...my vet has come HERE for information....a good vet is eager to learn...she had had only a couple Yorkies, and Mini was her first "problem child"....so she had to learn!

He's all yorkie for sure! No doubt. And that size issue is horse crap, lol. Toby was 10.3 last time I weighed him and that was a month ago. He is 8.5 months now, so he's not done growing. He's just EXTRA yorkie.
