greetings http://i1326.photobucket.com/albums/...psce876e0e.jpg My new little morkie friend Shroeder and I (Lynn) are pleased to meet you all. We look forward to learning from the brain trust. It has been many years since I have had a puppy. The last one was my beloved weimaraner, Idgie. That was quite some time ago. I have always had the joy of dogs throughout my life. After I lost Idgie, I took about 6 years of recovery time before I was ready for a new companion. I could not be rushed. The commitment is too great, and not to be taken lightly. So far he has been a very good little guy. I picked him up about a week and a half ago. He is going on 13 weeks. The couple I got him from are not breeders. He was raised by a family of 6. 4 of them little girls. He was pretty well potty trained outside by the time I got him. The love and time that they spent on him is all too apparent. Shroeder's mom is an akc yorkie and his dad is 1/2 party yorkie 1/2 maltese. He has made a good fit for my family of 6. I am mom to a 16 year old son, a 7 yr old son, a 5 yr old son and a 4 yr old daughter. I hope we have found a good "home" here with all of you.

Thanks everyone. So.... my children decided that they want to change his name from Shroeder to Oliver. Ollie is a lot more of a dog friendly name. Since we have not had him for very long, I suppose that it is fine. He has not responded to Shroeder yet anyway. So his official name is Oliver Underfoot. For he truly is always underfoot.

Want to get some tips please Hey everyone I have a morkie female and a yorkie akc male both are the loves of my life!! I decided that I wanted to let my babies have one litter of puppy's so we may add another to our home and have several interested people if we do end up with puppies so anyhow my morkie named cupcake is 18 months and went into heat in January and then around I bekieve 14 to 20 days into it which I wrote down in somehow lost my paperwork so I don't know the first day she started but I do know that on Jan 23rd my girl started pushing her tail to one side even when I would touch the base of her tail she would move it to the side but she started doing that and my male yorkie who's exactly the same age kept trying to mate her but I didn't witness an actrual tie which I was trying hard to keep them in my sights but the next day they did indeed tie and stayed for a few minutes then he kept trying but I don't believe they did it again but the very next day they again tied and then the following day so the fourth day of her being in her zone she and him tried more but again I'm not fully sure they tied but they did tie twice at least!! Anyhow its now 15 almost 16 days since the first tie and her tiny tummy is swollen hard down lower and her private never went fully down from its initial swelling so it's still a bit swollen and she's been sleeping a lot in has just as of two days ago seemed distant at times but at others very needy and I'm noticing her tits more . So my question is if anyone else knows if this means she's most likely pregnant. I've been reading everyday on the whelping and I've watched countless births on utube and I've watched cats and horses deliver . I'd love all ur tips and as I said this will be they're only litter and they'll get fixed right after they're allowed thank u all n sorry sooo long!!

It sure is a unique place. For a chuckle you should check out the Mankato,MN. homepage. There is a false one started by an MSU student. Hilarious! It says that we have pyramids,a submarine fleet and whale watching, among other silly things.

Pumpkinmommy, thanks for the welcome. You may have more luck looking for advice if you start your own thread. It tends to be a bit confusing when two different topics are combined.
