Oops! Sugar---Very cute name for a very sweet baby girl.

Yesterday I had a Dr. appointment a town away, plus I needed to run to 4 stores afterwards. I was gone for about 5 hrs, however Darrell was her. When I got home, there was a little yorkie girl waiting for me at the door. Tail wagging, bright eyed and prancing about. I sat down on the sofa, and she came up, and tried to play. She is not sure of herself, so it was awkward, but so cute. We encouraged her, and pretty soon she was running all over both of us. She especially like to put her cold wet nose in our ears, and on our necks, probably because of the reaction. So we tried to give her treats once again. She crunched down those mini milk bones as fast as she could. I fed her some dog food in this way. She has yet to go to the bowl. Then she turned to playing with the Papillon Belle. Belle never new how to play either, but they pounced around and put their paws on each other. It was so cute. No more sitting in the corner of the sofa with a look of fear on her face. She has become a doggie.

So happy for you. I knew she'd come around. It will get even better as the weeks go by.

Awesome news, how wonderful both pups teaching each other how to play. I sure miss those puppies days. I would watch my girls play for hours, so funny and cute, more entertaining then any TV program. Soon lil Sugar will be ruing the house. Great job mom.

Sugar is so blessed to have found you. I love to hear how she is coming around slowly but surely. So sweet.

Thank you Smelcerk. It is fun to watch her come out of her shell. As a ritual I cleaned my Papillon, Belle's ears today along with brushing her teeth. So I grabbed Sugar. Now, I new her teeth were something of a mess, so I used just some doggie toothpaste on my finger. She did well, no crunching on my finger, lol and she let me get a good look at her teeth. The front ones look really bad, but none were painful. So I am going to press on using the paste and a Chlorhexadrine spray on and see what we find in a week or two. Then I cleaned her ears. OMG fingertip sized clumps of brown gunk came out. I cleaned her up and an hour later instilled some medicated drops. She then spent the rest of the day next to my S/O Darrell, shunning me until I started cooking supper.
I have a feeling she was fed only table scraps. She has very little interest in dog food. However, if Belle will bring her mouthfuls of the dry Science diet, she will gobble them up. So sweet that Belle does that for her. Darrell also feeds her from his plate, and today he was holding his plate a little too low, so Sugar just helped herself. I say it is part of that Yorkie audacity, not naughtiness. lol My Little Suzie would do that too. You put it in her face, she helps herself. lol Just too cute.
