Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Oh gosh, good question....? I wish I had the answer, but I think they'd drink less than you think -- as all mine do. How old of a puppy are you asking about?

| The reason I ask is because I had lost a 6yr yorkie to kidney failure and she use to drink a lot of water. So that is in the back of my mind and making me worried. She is a 10 weeks old. I think I am just making myself worried. |

| Measure the amount of water you give her, start with 1/2 a cup of water, when you are going to give her fresh water pour what she has not drank into a 1 or 2 cup measuring cup, this will tell you how much water she drank since you first filled her bowl. Do this over a period of 3 to 4 days. You can call your vet, report the amount of water she drink in a day, ask the vet if that is the correct amount for her age and weight.
