Senior Yorkie Talker | home area I live in a small town , Jasonville. This is my first yorkie. Was wondering if they ever slow down . Mickey is so hyper. At what age do they settle down. . by end of day I'm exhaust . we walk several Times a day and play constantly. I won't. Let him off his leash and watch him every minute. |

| Hello, I live in southern Indiana several hours always from you. My Cali is 6 years old and she plays all day, but as she aged her sleep times got a little longer. As a pup it is like their motor is always running! They will slow down some later, but you are right to never let her get away from you, and the more activity the better. So you are doing everything right They just abound with energy -- and cuteness, of course!

| Slow down? lol, they are like the energizer bunny, they keep going and going lol, full of energy and mischief. Enjoy these puppy days, they grow so fast. All my passed girls slowed down a bit around 6 or 7 years old, but still ran faster then I could catch them lol. Be very careful, do not let off leash while out doors unless he is very well trained to come on command when called.

Senior Yorkie Talker | Mickey joe OK , I guess he is normal :-) He is also so very strong , he seems to be a sled dog at times LOL. He has pulled the leash out of my hands three times but, I think I have solved that problem. I put the lead through my sleeve to my hand works so far . He would have to pull my coat off to get away. I have a retractable leash and I won't let it out all the way in fear he may pull it out of the case , he is that strong. He is so loving and so spoiled .. When he gets up the whole house is up. Mom and dad mind so well. :-) |

Senior Yorkie Talker | Mickey joe I have started working with him on not pulling. I'm also whistle training him. I have one dog now that trained that way and it is so easy to get her to do what I want , so I'm working them together now , she isn't real happy with having to share our time but , he is very jealous of her so ,he wants to out do her LOL the other dog is part basinji ( not sure of the spelling). Anyway he sure is a lesson . I thought he was a lap dog and I guess he is ,just not the lap I was thinking these yorkies still your heart and spoil you too |
