| What do you think? Everyone at my work (office) wants to see my new puppy. She is 8 weeks and has had some shots but not finished. She also has a vet appointment tomorrow for a general check up. What do you guys think about taking her to work to see everyone? Good idea or bad idea? Should I be the only one to hold her if I do? |

| I would not take her anywhere until she has completed her series of shots. I am very paranoid in this regard as many years ago I witnessed an entire litter of Rottweilers and their mom die of parvo (within days). There are so many foreign elements out there and puppies are so susceptible...Again, I'm sorta manic about doing everything within my power to keep my critters as safe as possible...Enjoy that new baby...Oh, I can totally relate to wanting to 'show off' your little one. I just returned from taking Piper in to see my boss (she was fresh from groomer and looks so danged cute), so believe me, I get it!!! |

| Oh PLEASE NO! I, too, can totally understand you wanting to share and show-off your new little baby - but all in good time When ALL her shots are completed - we 'over here' then have to give it 2 weeks before going out - you've waited all this time, a few more weeks won't hurt....

| Absolutely NOT!!! Her vaccinations should not have been started until she was 8 weeks old, and it takes about a week for the shot to be effective. Shots are given every 3-4 weeks between them.... She needs to have all her puppy shots given, which should put her at 14 weeks old....and then at 15 weeks she should have an immunity built up and resistance to all those diseases! |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | No, I really would not take her in at this point. Be safe, wait.
