Morning treat gone wrong

Every morning my husband, Lexi's daddy, gets up very early for work. He gets himself all ready for work then comes over and picks our snuggled in Yorkie from our bed. He carries her downstairs to let her outside. She comes inside and gets her favorite all time treat... Two cheerios. She runs back upstairs to go back to bed. This is their routine every weekday. Yesterday I trimmed Lexi up a bit and I took her bowl of Cheerios into the laundry room. (I put her on the washer on a towel for trimming.) I needed the Cheerios during her grooming session. Well I forgot to put them back where they usually are on the table just inside the door for her potty treats. The husband didn't know where I had put them, so he tried several other treats. Lexi was not having any of that. She refused every treat he tried to give her.. kind of like she was saying 'don't try and feed me something else, I want my Cheerios!' He searched and found her Cheerios, gave her two Cheerios plus one because she looked like she got cheated. She ran upstairs to snuggle into bed again. Funny little girl. Gotta love them!

That little green ball in the avatar which has a broken squeaker, as do all the other colors of that same ball, are Lexis favorite balls. She will chew on that silly thing all the time, breaks the squeaker, but the ball is still intact. Today went off without a hitch in the morning Cheerios. All is well in Lexi's world.

Lol what kind of cherrios? Just the regular ones? I haven't tried those on Waffles yet. She likes the tail of goldfish crackers

I use just regular Cheerios. I think the multi-grain and some of the other flavors might have too much sugar. She is such a smart girl. She has her favorite balls in different colors. You cannot change balls with her either. If you're playing with her with one, you are not allowed to change colors unless of course she decides (which she never does). You ever wonder what they are thinking?

cute little bugger, she has you both well trained. Lola is like that with her toys, if you dare to throw her the unfavored toy of the moment she will refuse to fetch it, and sits there waiting for her toy of the moment to be thrown.
