I think it is rather self-evident. The breeder shared her side of the story, and hopefully she is in communication with her puppy owner. She owes no-one here an explanation, no-one but her puppy buyer. It is up to the puppy owner to support her statements of ill-health to the breeder - through vet reports et al. The rest of what may or maynot have transpired in phone conversations boils down to *he said*she said*. Who has the better memory, I for sure don't know. At least she came on here to respond, once she became aware of what was transpiring. For that I give her credit. Is it in her self-interest to do so? Of course. But if my reputation was impugned I would certainly want the opportunity to posit my position. Irrespective of any financial motive. |

Well then I would say, she at least cares enough to do so. How many breeder bad reviews have we had with no breeder response? So you want to pillor a breeder who actually cares enough to respond? There are at least two sides to every story. An owner of a sick puppy is not automatically right just because she came here to share her story. Nor is she automatically *wrong*. This person is sharing her concern for her puppy and sharing that she felt wronged by the breeder in question. Neither you nor I knows where the truth lies. But I can tell you if I got a sick puppy from a breeder and had the pup into the vet with-in 48 hours diagnosing a sick puppy, I would be on the phone immediately with the breeder, and also submitting the written vet health records to the breeder. I would be that incensed. Especially if I was told that there was remodelling on a leg bone.... that had broken with-in 24hrs of my care. |

She came on here to respond, and she did. She didn't come on here to be questioned ad nauseum and to defend herself to within an nth of her life. I commend her for coming on here and responding -- AND for remaining calm and respectful while doing so. |
She could have left her last paragraph out. I am with whoever said that it has nothing to do with the price of beans. Sorry, but I find it all laughable. Not saying anything about her as a person. I really only have my thoughts about her breeding program; but I am not in the market for a puppy, so no sense droning on about it. |
I am giving her credit for trying to explain her side. I am not going to question her motive. |
So what is it about this breeder that has every one being so defensive? We have had breeders come on here and tell there side of the story but still be wrong and it be known that there bad breeders, so why is this differen't? She is breeding at least three different breeds and she using the word teacup those are two facts there is more red flags but I'm not understanding why just because she posted here people need to defend her? If a breeder cares about continuing to make money then of course they are going to come here and defend themselves gotta keep the business alive! I just dont get it. |

I also noticed by googling her name and breeder there was a poodle forum who talked about her. Classical poodles by Pearl Wanner or Kim Balas - Poodle Forum - Standard Poodle, Toy Poodle, Miniature Poodle Forum ALL Poodle owners too! so looks like she breeds poms, poodles and yorkies. |

As for the Pomeranian piece though, I really couldn't find anything. I thought I had a link at one point- it redirected me to another set of akc show results but it was kim representing a Yorkie and had just read the keyword Pomeranian because it was on the same page in the toy class. There is a 'balas' result that comes up that does show a Pomeranian and a Yorkie but it is not the same balas family. It is don and Diane and the Pom owner actually has my same name Alyssa  So perhaps my lack of computer skill is showing but all that I saw was co ownership of some akc show poodles with someone named pearl. I haven't checked out pearls website either but it sounded like she had retired in the last few years. I am Not a master investigator I suppose but I appreciate you sharing those search tips and links as of course I want to be a master investigator when I am making a decision about supporting or not supporting a Yorkie breeder. I appreciate your help. |
