I noticed that most of our puppy mill females lift their leg. I figured it was their attempt at keeping their cage clean when forced to live in it 24/7. My NIko was 6 months old when neutered and squats 90 % of the time. My Elvis and Sebby were around 5-6 years and would never consider squatting. I have even seen Elvis lift his leg in the middle of the lawn.

Brody assumes a position similar to the position show dogs are placed in for the judges. He has once or twice slightly lifted a leg if he is too close to a stick or tall grass, but generally, Mia lifts her leg higher, and she barely lifts it at all...one or two inches. I do not know when Brody was neutered. He was 14 months old when I got him. He will be five years old in March.
