| Dog food What has been your favorite choice for dog food? Our little guy has been on royal canine mousse but now that he's gotten his teeth I've switched to the dry nutro ultra. Any recommendations? Anyone else use nutro? |

| Peanut was on Nutro when I got him. I have now switched him to BB because that was what I was feeding my Schnauzer. The Nutro Puppy small breed is much smaller kibble, about half the size of BB so probably better for young puppies that don't have their adult teeth. Peanut really is only interested in eating what ever my older Schnauzer girl is eating and she only wants his food. The problem is the puppy food makes the Schnauzer sick and I worry the adult food doesn't have all the nutrition the puppy needs. So my solution has been to free feed the BB adult food for both and supplement the Nutro puppy food to Peanut as a treat. |

| I personally do not trust nutro. I would either feed wellness or royal Canin.

| I will occasionally feed the nutro wet trays but haven't fed the kibble. We feed Fromm (especially the grain-free formulas) and always end up come back to this brand. I also would recommend Wellness for something available at bigger stores like Petsmart/Petco. |

| Sheldon has been on Royal Canin X-Small Puppy since he was on solids. He does extremely well on it, and I will likely keep him on the same kind but switch to the adult formula at around 10-11 months old. Last edited by BobbiB; 11-24-2014 at 04:17 AM. Reason: Spelling |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I'd recommend you google nutro and see what's happened with their dog food in the past...not good. I feed pre-made raw by Primal or Natures Variety. If I fed kibble, I'd probably go with Nature's Logic, Solid Gold, Fromm, Wellness, Orijen/Acana, Natures Variety.

| I love wellness, my girls have been doing great on them I was originally thinking to go with Royal Canin Yorkshire but I heard for some dogs it gives gas or makes them bloat ^^; Either way, been very pleased with what I went with Won't be long before I'll have have to switch to an adult formula. I want to stick with Wellness Core but I hear some don't like the small breed formula but will have to see how that goes. I can always go with there other line of small/toy breed ^^
