Donating YT 30K Club Member | I sure can! Maya is my almost 9 year old pom. Prior to getting her I always had Yorkies. Maya is as the vet calls her a highly excitable dog. She barks all the time and prefers to stay under my bed most of the time. She is out a little more now with the puppy. She is also a bit snappy. I got Cali my yorkie puppy because I missed the sweetness and companionship i had with my Yorkies. I know other people who have poms that aren't like Maya but my husband got her at a pet store (impulse buying) which may explain her temperment. I love her but she doesn't seem to respond in kind.

| I have never had a pom. Yorkies are usually not real calm dogs (they are little terriers) ---but my little pup is very docile and very laid back. He also almost never barks. Have to admit though that when he plays - he has a ton of energy. A good friend of mine has two poms. One is a busy, energetic little guy - always on the go - and her other pom is quiet and calm all the time. I'm sure that every breed has dogs with different temperments. So - it has be hard to compare individual dogs - they can all be so different - regardless of their breed. You'll love your Yorkie! Carol Jean |

| I have to say my Pom is one of the wildest dogs I ever had. She set a bad record for the rest of my dogs to ever be poms. I have to say that since I had Diamond she has been a real calm sweet little thing. When you play hide and seek she goes bananas. She also goes crazy when you get visitors.
