| vet cooky? Bruiser's vet gave him his vaccines this afternoon. (11 weeks, 4 days) He weighed 2.4 lbs. I asked her how much she thought he was going to weigh full grown, she said 8-10lbs? Didn't I hear that you double at this age, and that's the adult weight give or take? I don't care either way. I love him no matter, just trying to get a guess-ta-mate of how big he'll be. Mom is 6ish postnatal and dad is 5ish. Mandy

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Yes they do say double the age at 12 weeks and that is the weight the pup will be. But it also depends on the parents and the pedigree . . If it is a reputable breeder they could give you a good idea the size the pup will be

| Adult weight can be determined by genes that go several generations back. Parents may be small, but that doesn't mean that they can't produce pups larger than themselves. My boys are full brothers, different litters, and are larger than their parents and much larger than their littermates. General rule is double the weight at 12 weeks as Verbena indicated. My boys exceeded it big time. I knew Max would be larger by the length of his paw, but Teddy was a surprise. He was really a late bloomer.
