| have you had? Having raised yorkies for over thirty years I am always amazed how different they can be. We decided to keep our latest pup who is now 8 months old. I swear he was born growling....that little grrrrr. caught me by surprise. Now he has starting howling at certain noises, esp. the garbage truck. Has anyone ever had a yorkie that acts like a blue tick hound? |

| Yup....my Dutch sometimes growls in her sleep. And then she growls long after the threat has been neutralied. I guess to make sure that whatever inanimate object she was barking at knows she is the boss. |

| My Ziva howls at any police or emergency vehicle within 10 miles She taught Abby to do it also (I kind of instigated it...) altho Abby has a hard time- she can get a little pitchy! Ziva's "singing" is just beautiful- deep and rich. |

| Lola growls all the time, it's her way of talking. I've never heard her growl in a threatening way. She howls when I leave sometimes too. Most of the time she's very quiet. |

| Giggy sometimes wines in his sleep. When he does this, I just pet him and say, "it's okay Giggy". He wakes up then. This way he's not afraid anymore. |

| Blazer growls, he's mouthy and thinks that he's a big tough guy. I love when he tries to howl, though, he sounds like he's mooing! |

| I have 3 yorkies who love to "sing". They have even taught our cockatoo, Popcorn, to howl. They now take turns starting the music. |

| Teddy Bear howls when the phone rings. He is also a talker. He will look at you and make all these mouthy sounds and I think he thinks we should understand. I half expect real words to come out one of these days he tries so hard. He is so entertaining.

| Kimchi growls softly in various ways when she wants my attention and I'm not paying her any. It's like her little way of talking. She used to almost howl when I take her in the carrier and drive with her (at the time she mostly went to the vet, but she eased up when I started to take her to the groomers), but now she loves going into her carrier cause she now either goes to the groomers or to someplace fun/nice. All I gotta do is bring it out and open it up for her and she goes right in and gets comfortable.
