What does this mean? Lexi who is 9 months old does great with our new Shih Tzu pup, Parker, who is now 13 weeks old. They love to play with each other. I have noticed a few times since bringing Parker home she will lift her back leg up over Parker. It looks like a male dog lifting his leg to pee. Is this a sign of showing dominance or something else? Parker never reacts to it so I'm not really concerned, just curious as to what it means. Thanks!

Joel used to do this all the time to our other dog when they were playing I definitely think it's some kind of dominance, and Rosco always let him lol

She will do it sometimes while playing, but this last time was actually pretty funny. Lexi was laying down on the floor and Parker came up to her and barked at her a couple times because he wanted to play. Lexi gets up, walks over to Parker, lifts her leg up right in his face, and walks away to lay somewhere else. It was like she was saying, F you, I'm not playing with you right now lol.

Haha I don't know what it means....but I can picture it. Sounds pretty funny! Winnie does it but kind of in reverse....she sits on our senior weenie girls back like that. And that is amusing....I was giggling just reading this cuz I could picture it!
