Puppy wanted Hi I'm new to this group and this is my first message. We recently lost our little Cody due to a collapsed trachea. Our home is very lonely without him and we are looking for an affordable yorkie puppy. We were already scammed out of a lot of money for a puppy that never existed so we are afraid of online sellers. If anyone knows of a good, honest breeder, we would appreciate some help. Thank you SusieD1227

I am sure someone here will be able help you out soon...some recommend checking the ytca amd or AKC websites for breeder referrals in the meantime....I would say the same as to buy local so you can meet the breeder, mom/dad and pups. I'm sorry for your loss....I hope you are able to find a pup

Yorkie scam Yesterday I found an ad on oodles.com and the puppy was supposedly 45 minutes from my home so I answered it. Needless to say, this was another scam. Both times the scammer who advertised the puppies were nearby and then after being contacted, they had to move for a job and were miles away. Both times these scammers advertised on oodles.com. Beware!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and welcome to YT - very glad you found us. There are def scammers out there, but there are also some good breeders. One place to start is ytca.org... check out the show breeders there. We occasionally have good breeders sell their pups here at YT...see the Yorkies For Sale section for that. I can recommend a few breeders if you PM me too.

Typically the ads will advertise the puppy for a lower price...like $350 or $500. Or they will say "text for more pictures or information" one of them I tried to call and I got a fax machine sound. So after that I avoided those ads all together. There's usually an obvious indicator they're a scammer.
