![]() I have little puppy mill yorkie, Sebby, for about a year and a half. He is still a little timid and cars are not his favorite place to be. I also recently bought a biewer puppy, Rita. Sebby would pant and he didn't like to settle down. Rita would throw up after a few minutes. Last month I took my yorkies and biewers on vacation with me. We drove over 6000 miles in 4 weeks. With Sebby I put him in the dog car seat next to me. Rita I started with short trips around town and limited her food and water. She did great . Now every time we go outside they run to the back of the car and wait to be lifted into the back. I don't remember if you said he had his head out but I really wouldn't. We had one of our rescues who had to have an eye removed due to damage from debris while her head was out. My babies love the windows open but I never open them enough to stick little heads out.

![]() Dinky does get nervous in the car, sometimes more than others. He also likes the window down. I think the fresh air and smells distract him. I really think it feels uncomfortable for him physically. He does better when his tummy is full. If he is tired in the morning, he hates being in the car. Well, I guess I do too!

![]() Oh, and my brother's Yorkie cries and yelps. So for anything other than a short ride, they give him meds.
