| Yorkie or Morkie? Hi there! I am curious of opinions whether I have a Yorkie or a Morkie on my hands. :-). I love my Chesney either way....but he was a rescue, so I do not know for sure... I think I get asked often if he is a mix because he has floppy ear, so his groomer cuts them a little long. I personally think he is the cutest dog around. ;-) No bias, of course! I'd love your opinion or thoughts of what I should look for to decide. Thanks much!

| With the hair style and the floppy ears he resembles a morkie. However I dont think anyone could say for sure hes a morkie because morkies and yorkies look so similar. What does your breeder say? He sure is cute either way I love the floopy ears I think they give character

| when his ears are cut short... they aren't as floppy. ;-) I did not get him from a breeder, he was a rescue. Vet says Yorkie.

| Looks like a yorkie to me, my first 3 lil girls had floppy ears, all were AKC registered. There are a lot of yorkies with floppy ears. I must say he's a lil beauty, thank you for rescuing, he's a lucky lil boy. Do you have any idea how old he is, he looks quite young.

Thank you! I have actually had him for 2 years now. When I first got him, the vet guessed he was 3ish...I think he looks super young too! I hope I age, with so much grace!!! ;-)

| The one thing that makes me say Yorkie as opposed to Morkie is the fact that the tail is docked. My first puppy was a morkie, before I realized reputable breeders don't have mixes, and all the morkies I looked at did not get their tails docked. |

YT 500 Club Member | His color defiantly Yorkie but his face look kinda Maltese. I have a Yorkie & Maltese and the face favors my Maltese. But they are such similar looking dogs. Last edited by Batgirl38; 09-20-2014 at 10:01 PM. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I see a little Shih Tzu in him, but then I love Shih Tzu's. He's adorable, that's for sure.

| I Googled Morkie and Shorkie Images and copied the links below. Maybe you can find which one seems to have the most that favor your little sweetie. That picture of Chesney cut back is so adorable I just looked and looked at it. Such a cute baby doll! https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...01.mPodzF0slNg https://www.google.com/search?q=Shor...ed=0CAYQ_AUoAQ

| Thank you for all of the compliments! I'm wondering if its his hair cut that's "making" him look more Morkie. He has ZERO white in his coat. I know that he doesn't have to....but as I look at many of the Morkie pictures, many seem to have at least a speckle. I never thought Shi tzu! Oh no! Idk if I can add another into the mix! ;-)
