Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() Hello, We plan to get a Maltipoo. We want another puppy. Molly our female Yorkie is about 5 years old now I think and we are planning to get a male Maltipoo in a few months. Since Molly is a female, a male would be the better choice to get right? We also would separate them when we aren't home. One would stay downstairs and the other upstairs. What advice can you give me? Thanks!

| ![]() Male or female, depends on your girl. Go for it, two are fun! It may take a bit, but they will learn to like each other. Are you going to crate train him? Is your girl crate trained? If so, just put both crates on the same floor, no need to go to two different floors that I can see. Enjoy your puppy.

| ![]() Are you adopting one or buying one? Reputable breeders only breed to better the breed and won't breed mixes and there are a lot of risks when not going with a reputable breeder. A reputable try's to make sure they are bringing in the healthiest pups possible by doing health and genetic testing that can not just be done by a vet and they know there lines far back not just 3 generations to make sure there is no illnesses. Also I would only get a male if your female is fixed.

| ![]() I have a 5 month old yorkie and a 2 month old Malti-poo. They are good buddies. They like to play together and seem to love each other already.
