This is where the cute puppies come from, this is what happens to the Maltese Mom, forced to have litter after litter in her short 7 years of life, stuck in a cage w/little to no medical care. Just to have her puppies yanked from her as soon as they're weaned, as young as 4 weeks old. The others, not so lucky when they retire from giving birth to puppies all their life, they get sold to dog meat restaurants.

Why Korean puppies?
Korea has the largest puppy mill business that is not regulated by the government. Desirable because of their short snouts, big eyes & small size. They're yanked from their mom @ only 4 weeks old, some arrive to US customs w/no teeth! These fancy flashy websites that advertises these puppies sells them as micro mini, teacup @ 4-6 months old for $4,000+ inflated prices, but they're only a few weeks old!

The recent USDA law about all import dogs having to be 6 months of age & fully vaccinated will not deter them...all they need to do is lie about the pups' age. I really hope the new law will help lessen the Korean puppies imported for sale here in the US. USDA APHIS | News

Where do they get these puppies?
It's a Wholesale website for puppy mill puppies. I'm sure there are many more that I'm not aware about...

Please list all the 'teacup' websites here...places to avoid, please help spread the knowledge. There are too many, but we can help raise awareness...if it only helps one person & that person helps another & so on & so on. If you stop buying from them, they will be out of business! These puppy brokers will have many aliases & different websites. All you need to do is google the website & a list of complaints & warnings will pop out. This is a world wide problem.

What I don't understand is how these places are still in business. Like you said all you have to do is google them and see all the complaints. Pretty much everyone these days have internet access, and can see these complaints, yet they are still buying these pups. I just don't get it!

They keep buying there because it is a craze to get the cutest tiniest pup. I try not to judge peoples buying decisions because when it really comes down to it it is there business where they buy from but when they end up with a dog with health problems or issues because they bought from a puppy mill I dont feel sorry for them because there is enough info out there to be aware. Some people just have alot of money and they are going to buy a dog where they want to buy a dog and all my preaching isnt going to stop iti

Today is not a good day, heard very bad news, very sad news for the puppy mill mommas & papas. This thread was made by the events of Paris Hilton purchasing from Betty Pedram, a puppy broker w/a fancy website that gets the puppies from Korean puppy mills.
As feared, it has caught National attention & their puppies are SOLD OUT...very heart & spirit breaking news. It means MORE puppies will be ordered, more suffering, more misery, more money for these vile people to stay in business.

Very sad! Every time we take Sachi out, we always get asked if she is a teacup. I let them know, she is on the small size but a standard Yorkie. Standard being under 7 lbs. I get looked at like I am from outer space. There are so many misconceptions and with all the Paris Hilton type news, it unfortunately perpetuates itself.

I hate this whole teacup thing, I got in a huge fight on FB over it when Yvette Ruta who makes high end pet clothing bragged about making the blanket for the pup Paris bought. She named the breeder and said "check out her pups they are amazing" Betty or whatever her name is got on the post saying how healthy her dogs are and of course a few others that have Korean pups joined in, I would not back down so finally she deleted the whole post. Wish I had this article then. I will say a lot of the comments on the online entertainment sites that talked about Paris's new dog were very unflattering to her and those type of dogs so it is a shame that people did not listen to those comments.

Is the USDA that stupid that they do not realize that a puppy without any teeth is not 6 months. I think we need to figure out who to email about this and bombard them with emails and facts!

I, too, want to thank you for the thread and hopefully those new to YT, unaware of these practices or just surfing the Internet looking for a "teacup" Yorkie will pull up this thread and learn some painful, disgusting things about how they are too often bred and whelped. How a person can make money off the backs of their miserable little female dogs cold-heartedly left to live in loneliness, pain and squalor is totally beyond my comprehension. I don't know how people that know the truth behind what it takes to purposefully breed for ultra-tiny dogs can buy from such so-called breeders just to fulfill their heart's desire for a tiny Yorkie that will look like a perpetual puppy. I know there is a hot place in he** for the people who do this kind of thing to innocent, trusting, loyal little dogs and for those individuals and pet stores that keep them profitable by doing business with them and perpetuating the problem on and on, litter after litter after litter.

This was happening b4 the law passed! Can you believe tiny 4-6 week old puppies in cargo, in severe temps hot or cold...so many don't make it, a lot them die!:(

Not everyone views their dog as a family member they hope to have with them for the next 15 years. To some they are just fashionable accessories. If they only last a year or so, they don't care. They just buy another. They are as disposable as the designer purse they carry it in, when the purse becomes worn.

So sad :( my maggie may is a puppy mill mommy...not korean, amish...shes 4 and her breeder decided he was done with her and luckily an area reacue scooped her up. She is so sweet but has sad eyes...and i hate to think of the life she led before we saved her. To think these mills are allowed anywhere, is sick.
