| I just ordered 2 of the Andis Ultraedge 2 speed clippers....you get them now for $141.00, plus the promo code brought my order down to $288.00....and you get free 2 blade pak with the clipper! I have the Oster Turbo A5....that darn thing gets sooooooooooo hot! Figure if I can alternate between these 3 pairs of clippers, I can get my babies groomed in a couple of days, allowing them to cool down between dogs! Thank you so much mimimomo for all your help with clippers and blades...I have printed out your suggestions/recommendations and keep a copy in my grooming cart! (I dont know what these free blades will be like with these Andis clippers I just bought...they say they are "pink and soft"!!! They are a #7 and 10, so that is the two sizes I use! |

Please do give us a review on the pink blades, was interested in that! Here's the description: Andis® has improved their most popular animal-grooming blades by adding their Electro-Glide Technology™ finish to their carburized steel UltraEdge® blades, for a blade that cuts faster and lasts longer. These are unique to the market! https://www.petedge.com/zpetedgemain...c-locale=en_US

| [QUOTE=mimimomo;4485056]I could've saved you some $...all you had to do was buy xtra blades, you change that out when it gets too hot. They clipper itself won't get hot, it's the blades. Maybe you can return one. I found that out when I pulled the blade off these clippers to clean them between dogs! It dawned on me it seemed to be JUST the blade that was getting hot....IDIOT!!! Note to self: Live and learn, and dont ever think you are knowledgable about something until you talk to some one that is proficient and educated in that area!! I will give my opinion about these new blades after I get them and try them out! Just keep in mind, I am not a pro with this grooming thing! Last edited by Yorkiemom1; 09-07-2014 at 11:08 AM. |

| Judy, there could be something wrong w/the clipper too. If you're not running it for long & the blade gets hot, then there's something wrong w/the clipper, making the blade get hot. They do have clipper repair service but it's probably better to get a new one. Costs more to ship it over & to have it shipped back & it could happen again.
