YT 500 Club Member | Clicking Noise When Panting So my daughter told me that my puppy makes a clicking noise sometimes when he is panting when she is playing with him. Does any ones dog do this. I know it is also a symptom of CT and my dog does do the quick cough sometimes when excited. Just wondering if anyone has this with there dogs. I can't hear it by I am hard of hearing!! LOL |

| Hard to say without hearing it. Sometimes it can just be saliva on the teeth that makes odd noises when playing fetch. Hard to explain.

I can't hear it by I am hard I remember watching a video of a lady grooming her yorkie and it was really hot outside and the poor thing was panting like crazy making this loud clicking sound. I think it's from their tongue being dry and hitting against their mouth or something. I'm sure someone on here knows why they make that sound. Last edited by kreuer; 08-22-2014 at 02:45 PM. |

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | Yes, its hard to explain but I agree. Its the sound that the motion of the tongue makes when the pup is panting and the saliva is swooshing around in the back of the mouth between the teeth and the tongue. Nothing to worry about it perfectly normal.
