YorkieTalk Newbie! | Youngest Service Yorkie? We got our 8 1/2 week Mr. Yorkie home last Friday. Our departed dog Rookie was pressed into unofficial service dog duty due to my wife's occasional spasms. The guy had a calming effect. My wife decided to try the puppy for service duty at a restaurant. I was amazed at how well that worked out. Mr. Yorkie was happy in his shoulder carry bag and met some new friends. Very calm! Unofficial service dog in training? Youngest service dog ever? |

| Gina started training at 10 weeks, I haven't taken her in anywhere yet since she isn't certified, bit will once she is a full service dog for me. Just remember that small dogs are catching a lot of flack about being labeled a service dog without being one, so be careful with where you take her, good luck with the training, it's a long road, but worth it. Cheers Quad & Gina

| I'm glad your pup calms your wife. That's awesome. It's important though that he actually do a task otherwise he would just be an emotional support dog.
