| New to YT! Fedding new puppy A big hello from the UK! I'm new to YT, I have a two year old yorkie (neutered) male and have just bought a little girl home. She's settling in well, I was just wondering about feeding my new girl, with my boy I had food down for him all the time and he picked at it throughout the day but she seems constantly hungry and finishes her meals in a hurry and looks for more! should I be feeding her more or feed her four times a day like the breeder said? |

| Hi and welcome to YT. Are you feeding her puppy food? I know that puppies have a higher caloric need for their growing bodies also they can get hypoglycemic easily so I would feed her puppy food and four times a day like the breeder recommended until she gets a little older and then maybe free feed like you do your boy. I hope others will add their input as Buster was my first dog so I learned a lot from YT.

| Thank you both for welcoming me! I love Yorkies so I'm very pleased to have found this site. She's on dry puppy and meat that the breeder gave me as it's the same she was weaned onto. I'm keeping the same meals but she still seems so hungry, she begs and tries to climb onto my lap to get any food I have which I find odd as my other yorkie is not bothered about food. She has a vet appointment tomorrow so I'll check she is the right weight and everything. Maybe I just have a very greedy little girl! |

| My Buster is a greedy little boy too! He is always looking for more food and treats and boy can he give me a look that melts my heart. I have learned to not feed too much as we ended up being overweight and we had to go on a diet which had Buster very upset and boy did he let me know. Whoever said animals don't communicate must never have had a Yorkie. Something just occurred to me do you think she might have a parasite or ?
