| Puppy courier? yorkie train? Hi all, I'm looking for alternatives other than receiving a puppy via cargo...I know people have had many stories how their puppy was fine, but I'm still worried... Does anyone know of any puppy couriers? I heard of yorkie trains too (someone drives from one end of the state to the other, than gives it to another person, they drive to the end of their state, etc.,), and truckers that travel for rescues/shelters (I can't find any so far). I've also heard of stewardesses from Delta that take the dog to the cabin with them as their own pet and stays with them for the rest of the flight yet I can't find any contacts for them. I noticed several threads on the spoiledmaltese.com forum but unfortunately when I contacted the members the flight attendants that did this passed away Any other ideas/advice would be appreciated! |

| Could you find a pup close enough to drive to? Or you can fly there. If you have a mental illness you can get a dr.'s note for an emotional support animal and some airlines will let the pup sit on your lap, free of charge, the entire flight. |

| I know some people use airline stewards to transport puppies. I think they charge several hundred dollars though.

| Where are you trying to bring this puppy from and where are you located?

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | We had a courier bring Galen. It was set up by the breeder. It was well worth it. Tickets to pick him up was too much for me.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | There is a YT member who used to do flight courier flights for puppies/dogs - her user name is LuvMySissy...she may still be doing them. But you could also use PetFlight - they are an animal only in-cabin airline: Pet friendly flying, travel and shipping information - PetFlight

| Thanks!! Hi all, Thank you for the great suggestions! I currently am looking at several breeders and also looking at a rescue. The breeder I am looking at is located in Portland/Eugene, Oregon area. I am located in Columbia, Missouri but my husband makes regular trips to St. Louis I am currently looking at 4 pet courier services (if from breeder) but I am unsure about two of them: The unsure ones: flypuppyfly.com breespettaxi.webs.com Possible ones: Purrfect Pet Delivery (https://www.google.com/search?newwin...64.d0kUQlZcqN0) FIRST THREE LINKS IN GOOGLE SEARCH ONLY. Comfort Retriever Litters (click on "Custom Courier Service", right above "Guardian Dog Program". The lady doing this is "Jane at Altour 859 277 8068") Last edited by loverofyorkies2; 07-24-2014 at 03:14 PM. |
