I'm happy you've decided to stay! I love hearing about your new puppies and seeing updated pics of them :). As far as walking away from a thread because of any particular member, I hope you change your mind about that(leaving the thread). Even if I don't agree with ppl I enjoy different viewpoints since it can give me different perspectives. When I first joined, I let my temper(my husband calls it the Caribbean Spirit lol) get the best of me on a particular thread. Most members mean well, but just like in any group of people(especially a majority of women) tempers can flair and words can be taken the wrong way...or sometimes some ppl are just full of themselves lol. If you notice some members just make you cringe when you see their username next to a post the Ignore Feature is very handy, but also the one's you put on Ignore may impart some valuable information once in awhile;):p

I am glad I stayed too, because there is a ton of info on here. It has helped me a lot. My little puppy is sick and this forum has helped immensely. He had Giardia and reading some of the threads I can see that he will be just fine. I give him his medicine and he doesn't act sick anymore, but I continue to give the medicine so he will continue to heal. I think he may have gotten it from getting into a bird corpse that our lovely cat left out (she has killed at least 4 birds since we got the puppies). It has been very helpful to read about others with the same problem. Eased a lot of worry on my mind.

Thank you all for your input on threads and expertise. I really appreciate it. Most people on here are amazing. I am so glad I found this site.

In every large community, there will always be people we prefer and people we don't -- that's never going to change. So, we have to tolerate a lot of differences here, or we won't do well in general participating in a community.

As far as the 2nd paragraph, unless you report a post, there is nothing we can do -- none of us are mind readers :).

That is what I thought too. But every one here is passionate in their love for their furbabies and that can lead to some spirited conversations. Just like we humans, our pups are all unique. There is no one correct way to play with, train, feed, vaccinate, etc all yorkies. I try to pick out all the good info that applies to me and while I may not utilize the rest, respect the opinion of others. No place is perfect but I have yet to find another site that even comes close to offering the collective knowledge and insight that can be found here.

Nicely put!
I use to think my way of doing things was the right way and would judge others for doing it "wrong". Older and much wiser, I now realize there is no right way or wrong way, just different ways. I agree the knowledge here is priceless. Anytime I have a concern this is the first place I turn to for advice.

Right, we all make mistakes and often our messages to others aren't as clear as we think they are. Let's kiss and make up as the most important thing here is the well being of our puppies. They love unconditionally, let them set the example for us.

Hello everyone. I am a newbie coming on and just reading about all the drama. This goes on in a lot of forums. Its nice to see a thread giving the opportunity to discuss solutions. I am just learning about Yorkie Poos and don't want to be scared away from asking what one may consider to be a stupid or offense question. I am asking because I may just simply not know and am looking for various opinions so I can form my own educated opinion. I hope not to be attacked for doing so.

If that does happen, I hope a lot of these individuals that are stating they feel it is so inappropriate will start posting to the bully blogger and express to them immediately that their post is inappropriate in tone or word choice or whatever. Bullying is a huge issue in the schools these days. The kids are learning it from somewhere.

I am looking forward to positive experiences on YT. If my opinion about a post is negative, I will keep it to myself.

If you feel that the post is breaking YT rules for sure report - it is the yellow triangle down on the bottom of the post.


Our mods do a great job of responding to those reports.

You do not have to keep your opinion to yourself. Just the opposite. The variety of opinions on this site is one of the things that make it such a valuable tool. The issues on this site usually arise on HOW they disagree with someone. If you tell someone that you respect their opinion but you disagree because of A, B & C, then everyone benefits from seeing 2 sides of the issue. But if you tell someone (directly or indirectly) that their opinion is WRONG then that is usually when the gloves come off. We welcome your opinion, whether it agrees with us or not.

In my experience a lot of drama happens when members tell other members how to post! As I stated before if you think a post is contravening the YT rules report it.


Each one of us has our own experiences large or small with dogs - and the default here is that everyone loves their dogs wholeheartedly. Well at least that is the default I go by. I disagree with many many folks on here - but hey that is just my opinion which when I feel moved I support with studies facts and personal experience.


And I wholeheartedly concur that this is one of the most informative sites around
