I think there is a misconception that the type of tags on YT affect search results in engines like Google. They do not do this. YT is an active and large forum and naturally ranks high in search engine results for keywords and phrases written in posts, title, and signature lines.

There are some wonderful members here on YT. I am so blessed to know many of you. So I want to share something on a positive note.

Im relativley new to this sight.I have to say Ive been hesitant to interact because of the agressive attitude on some of the blogs.nice to hear someone out there is more interested in a more agreable friendly attitude.most people i would think are joining to learn and share info witch is great im one of those.:)

YT is really a wonderful, compassionate community with members who really care and want to help. Even through my little girl, Ashley, passed away four years ago, and I didn't have a dog for almost two years, I still came here a great deal because I grew to care about this community and the pups so much. I've had Yorkies in my life for close to forty years ( except for those two years before Katie captured our hearts), and I am still learning. I hope you stick around and join us.

I agree 100 percent, there is no website, no book and no one person who can give you the information this site has gathered over the years.

I encourage everyone to post and personally enjoy the new members. No one on here is intentionally mean, the most part I see members welcoming new people.

I love watching the new puppies grow into adults. I am always happy when I see the shenanigans the new little guys are pulling on their parents.

I am new this year to YT and I try to read a lot of threads that I am interested in. Last night I was on a thread where I could not believe what I was reading. This person was looking for help regarding a bad situation and there were some members that were basically attacking that person and I believe that person has not returned to YT. I understand that people do not agree with what other people may do with their animals or life however, we do not have control over what they do or not do. Therefore, belittling them is not going to help them or make the issue any better. If you can't help them or say something nice then you are better off not saying anything at all. I must admit that the story was disturbing to me about that person's dog however, they needed to take care of another issue and members were chastising them still about the death of their dog and the unfortunate situation they got themselves in to. I must admit I cried for that dog and had I been in my younger years I probably would have written something not so nice. However, as we age and experience life we learn what not to do/or do. All....we are not perfect and we are only human. You have to remember that what may be common sense to you is not so much common sense to others. It can be frustrating at times but just hope that there won't be a next time with that person making the same mistakes. I also thought last night...darn if I have an issue I would think twice about posting for help because of other people's mean comments/posts. Ok...I'm done and I will get off my soapbox now. I must have missed that post.....I thought everyone was walking around on egg shells, trying especially hard to keep from offending anyone....did you report the post that was so offensive? Ann (the person that started THIS post) has said for us to report such nasty posts.....I hope you reported that example of harrassing and attacking a poster....

Hopefully you were reading an older thread that was made before this thread was posted. Some of the older thread do get pretty nasty but they are still educational.

Perhaps not. 2 days after this thread started a member was so nasty, the nastiest I have ever seen on this site since I joined, I was in total shock at the response given to a new comer also that someone would go against what this thread was all about. AND the new comer has NOT returned.

I think it would be a good idea to sticky this thread once closed. Just to give a friendly reminder and let new members see that the forum has gone through some ups and downs and how we've overcome them.

Report, report, report.

We cannot assume that people don't return just because a person was "mean" to them. Many people come here just to start nonsense....not all, and it is not a reason for people to be rude. Just saying that it is not always the reason people don't return. I have seen plenty of people come here and be welcomed with open arms....they get what they came for and they don't return. I don't assume they left for any particular reason. They simply left.

But, as for people saying that so and so left because someone was rude, I have to say yet again, REPORT
