| had to leave baby at hospital the worst feeling in the world when you have to leave your baby at the hospital. He was fine today until he came home from his walk with grandpa. He then started to gnaw and bite his knee.. So bad that it got a little bloody. Called the vets office but closed. So had to take him to 24vet emergency hospital. The vet doesnt know what it is, it could be a "hot spot" bee sting or some other bite. She has sent me home and says she will call in a couple of hrs. most likely he will have to wear a cone for the week and take an antiobotic. the area has to be shaved. What makes me nervous is if he needs sedation because he can be aggressive. Im nervous and feel awful for my baby. he looked so scared..has this happened to anybody before where a sudden rash appears?

| It's such an awful, scary, and lonely feeling, but right now he is where he needs to be so that he can be treated and can heal. I will keep you both in my prayers. You are doing this because you love him and are a great mom.

| I agree with Lisa, he is right where he needs to be. Don't worry it does sound like a sting or a bite the vet knows best. |

| I can't answer your question, I never had a dog get bitten or stung, with my new little guy I do expect this to happen soon, lol. What I can say is, yes I have had to leave many a pup at the vets, that is the best place he can be, he will be watched and treated accordingly. Please keep us up dated. Maybe a member that has went through a sting or insect bite will come along and give their experience. In the meantime I hope they can find what what he has and can come home soon. I know that empty house feeling when a furbaby has to stay at hospital.

| I cried both times I had to leave Magnus/Zoey at the ER... I'm so sorry for you and your baby. I hope it's nothing serious and that he can come home soon. |

| I know how you feel, but he is in expert hands and they will get him fixed up and sent home as soon as possible. Maybe ask if you could see him if they are going to keep him for observation for a couple days. Let us know how he is doing.
