| Fee for pet sitting I have a friend who is watching our fur babies while we are on vacation. They will be staying at her house. What would be an appropriate amount to give her? Thanks, Pam |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | We tried to give my hub's parents $100 when they stayed w/ our kiddos for a long weekend...but they wouldn't take it; so your friend may refuse, just fyi . How long are they staying? You could either give them a cash gift and/or get them a little gift package like a couple bottles of wine or wine+champagne or something? Or, if she likes to go out to eat, maybe a gift card? Our pet sitter charges $50 overnight for 1 night, $40 per night for 2 nights, and $35 per night for 3-7 nights...if that helps at all.

| I don't know about overnight petsitting, but we have a vet tech from our regular vet's office that comes by and feeds, walks and plays with our pups at our house (and my daughter's house) while we are away. He charges $20.00 per visit and sends an email with pictures/video after each visit. He usually makes 2-3 visits a day, around 1 hr per visit. We know he stays that long because my daughter has security cameras at her house and can watch while he is there! He's very sweet and really does play with the pups! |

| For someone to stay at my house full time and take care of three dogs, I pay $50 each day.
