| ![]() There are several pet stores and pet supply stores that don't allow pets in our area. But they don't do grooming either. |

| ![]() I know it's a bit different, but a pet supply store not allowing dogs is like a baby/kid store not allowing kids! To me it's like they're saying,"Come and buy stuff for your pup, but that same pup is not welcome here." Not a place I would shop.

I've been to at least 15 pet stores owned by different people in NJ, DE, and PA and this is the only one that doesn't allow pets. Most of them don't do grooming either. | |

| ![]() I live in central NY. I don't see any problem with not taking my dog to the feed store. There is no reason for her to be there. I know what I am buying and I don't need her there in order to pick it up. It's just a store full of different types of pet food. Usually when I drive to the store location (over 30 miles away) I do other shopping as well. I don't want to tote her around while I am trying on clothing or doing other things. She is better off at home. Dogs don't sample food at a pet food supply store while at the chain stores people seem to love to parade their dogs around which is fine since the store is set up for that. They are different types of businesses. Personally, I try to avoid places where there are a lot of different dogs because so many people do not have proper control over their larger dogs. One of my small dogs was attacked a few years ago so I am extremely careful about where I take Gracie. She is happy at home and is always glad to get whatever treat I bring home for her. |
