Help!!! Is my Yorkie really a pure breed or mix breed?

You run the DNA test on the pup and then compare that DNA test results to the parents DNA. Alternatively you can get a best "guesstimate" by running a Mars Wisdom Panel test. Although far from 100% accurate, it can be interesting to see what "breed" or breeds of dog your pup has in her.

From the 'sepia' photo...the face and the hair on the feet and legs, I first thought maybe Yorkie/Schnauzer, but I see the "Dandie" face you mention, too. If a mix, could have some Lhasa perhaps. I wonder if the grooming on the face is 'suggesting' mix combos/other breeds where we have seen other dogs with a 'look' something like Princess' face...LOL

It's a great 'guessing game'...you just never know how a mix will turn out. But, gosh, Princess is one cute baby, so 'breed' would be a mere curiosity for me...and I would not care one whit beyond that if this was MY new baby!

I'm glad you love her and are happy with her. She looks like maybe she has some poodle in her. The fur looks like it has some curl to it.

Sorry but I think the lady you purchased her from was not honest with you. A vet cannot give any assurance of the ancestry of a dog. As already mentioned only honest registration papers can prove the dogs history.

If you ever decide you want a purebred dog do some study on the subject. There are a lot of people out there claiming to breed purebreds that are not honest or competent.
