Is it too soon to start looking for a new baby?

each time and each person is different, when I lost my first three I got a new puppy fairly soon, it was to hard coming home to a new house, when I lost Kirby, my last purebred yorkie I was convinced that was it, no more dogs for me, it was to hard when they leave and since he was a handful I was in some way exhausted by him. After a year I started to feel the urge again and that is when I found Lola, not sure what happened to make me start looking then but I am so glad because like others have said sometimes the timing just is right.

Thank you for all of the kind words. I spoke with someone at the Yorkie rescue and she was starting to educate me on Yorkies and rescues, backyard breeders .. So I chimed in and told her everything I knew on the subjects .. And she said you seem to know a lot about all of this ... I said "ya I am a member of YorkieTalk... My friends on there have educated me well"

Carla!, Follow your heart!! If it is open to finding a new love than I say go for it! There are plenty of lil furbutts out there that need the kind of love you can provide!! Keep us posted!

We had lost our yorkie a few years ago in November and I was certain that I would never be able to have another...but after a few weeks, I found myself searching rescue and breeder sites just to see...Well, by February I knew for sure that the time was right for another little yorkie in our life and on March 19 of that year we picked up our little Trixie and just love her to bits..
