| Gizmo is getting very stubborn... need advice please... Gizmo is just not listening. He just won't come when I call him. If I have a treat he will come just close enough to get it but if I reach for him he's gone with or without the treat. If he doesn't get the treat he won't even try again. When we are eating dinner he wants to play and starts to bark. I say Enough or No Bark and he looks at me and stops for a few minutes and then barks again. We have tried ignoring him but it doesn't work, he just barks more and louder. I have noticed his stubbornness seems to have gotten worse after he went to doggie daycare. He even peed on the couch TWICE after daycare. I only took him cuz we had a really bad case of ants and I didn't want to leave him at home cuz they were popping up all over. He went three days in a row until they were able to spray my apartment. I was thinking of taking him once or twice a week, but now I'm not sure. The thing that bugs me the most is the not coming when I want to pick him up. This has been going on since he was around 5 months, he's almost 8 now. He will come to me with no problem if I'm going to brush his teeth other than that only when he wants. When I take him for a walk, he will not come when I have the leash and harness in my hand. I have to act like I'm not walking to him and then grab him. Help please, I know they say Yorkies are harder to train. I have always had dogs and none of them were this difficult and stubborn. |

| Have you looked into an obedience class or trainer. Having a professional eye may be very helpful. I know some obedience instructors do classes or one on one in your own home. May want to look into that if nothing else is working. |
