| Puppy Questions Ok you all know this is my first puppy! And she will be here in one week! So I have a few questions. 1. Can she have a bath at 12 weeks old? 2. I know she has had her first round of shots. What are the time frames to get the remaining ones? 3. What type of brush do you use on puppy hair? 4. Anything else I need to know?

| I have no advice for you since all of mine were adults when I adopted them. Someday I'll try the puppy thing..... I just wanted to congratulate you & wish you luck. I can tell how excited you are... I would be too!

2. Take the breeder's shot records to the vet with you for the puppy wellness exam and the vet should give you the schedule for remaining shots. Rabies vacc should be held until 5 or 6 months of age, whatever is required in your county. 3. I used a flea comb only on Max for the first 6 months. A leg/mustache comb would work too. 4. Ask your breeder what kind of dishes Lily drinks and eats from. When I brought Max home, he did not drink water for the 6 hour car ride and then for hours at home. I was so worried! Then I finally figured out that he would not drink from the plastic travel bowl, but he happily drank from a tiny stainless steel measuring cup. He had an aversion to plastic.

| Hee hee!!!!! Only a few more sleeps....!!! Well, we bathed Harry a couple of days after we brought him home at 12 weeks (Andy wanted him to 'smell like us'....). For the first few months we used an actual baby brush and comb, and we still use the round-ended baby scissors for doing around his eyes and 'man parts' So, so happy and excited for you

2. I'm not so good about the shots timeline it's been so long lol but make sure you get the record from the breeder on which shots she has had 3. I used a comb on Callie when she was a pup. It's very important with puppy hair to make sure your combing all the way to the skin because it mats so darn easy. 4. I have heard deodorant works well to use on cords and other things they might start trying to chew. Also try not to get to overwhelmed I know there was one point with Callie as a pup I was so tired and thought I couldn't do it anymore but I was only 18 at the time. It's ok to ask for help from your spouse or someone if you need 10 minutes of me time or a nap.
