First---No there is not an emergency vet place here! I had taken her to another vet when I first bought her for her 24 hr check-up..He did absolutely nothing and even though I brought her vaccination record along, he went out of the room and came back with two needles. I said, Just a minute, I brought her records from the breeder, and it is not time for her vacs. Oh! He said, that's right! If I wasn't in the room, he would have given it to her even though she just had it two days prior! So, changed vets, and now I have this one! There is 4 vets in this place, so I can't understand why she couldn't be seen!
I will talk to the vet next time I bring her in for her check-up, and tell him either I can bring her in when she is sick, or I will look for another vet! I should have told the receptionist I wanted him to call me. Maybe that would have worked! That is why I have a vet, and even though this time it worked itself out, I need to know if something bad happens, they are there for me! I was in their office once when someone came in with their dog, and they would not see it, made an appointment for another day even though the owner was visibly upset! So, we will see! But right now, I am not happy with this situation!
Living in a small town sometimes puts us at a disadvantage!
