I don't agree....there were people who posted on this thread who pretty much justified this senseless killing. Maybe not in those exact words, but justified nonetheless.

hummmm, really, well guess I will just have to re-read every post again to see where ppl justified this mans reason for killing a 10# dog. I saw nothing like that, just THEIR opinion as to why he should not look for a diff. line of work. Am off to re-read.

Oh, yes, they voiced opinions; but what I took from their opinions is that what he did was justified. Maybe not in those exact words...but....

Who justified him killing an animal? I hope you're not referring to me...if so can you quote where I said it? Just looked at your recent post. It's how you took some post. What ppl mean and how others take it is sometimes not the same especially on an internet forum

This thread has certainly turned into "hot topics". ;) I'm raising my hand as I very well may be one of those people who provided "justification". I can say that I did post that I don't condone the act. But I did look at the big picture of the whole incident with the details I had and made an inference on possibilities.

I am not going to quote people and play little games here. I stand by my comments...I do believe there was an element of throwing the blame at the dog and his owners; and, in my way of interpreting things, I believe justification of what the mail carrier did. I suppose I should not read into things, but I am as human as anyone else.

Like I said before, a dog can get away in a blink of an eye from the most diligent of dog owners. Tragic that someone would choose to slam a dog in the head with a rock rather than other options. I don't for a minute believe it had to do with his fears. I am sure that this is not the first dog he has encountered...something odd about this one. My opinion.

That's how I picked it up too, in my defence I present:

inference
noun
a conclusion reached on the basis of evidence and reasoning.

Also the words of Richard Nixon, may help salve the angst I appear to have aroused...

"We do not learn by inference and deduction and the application of mathematics to philosophy, but by direct intercourse and sympathy."

I'll now withdraw, but will remember not to have an opinion here in future...

I just re-read every post, I saw no one justify the mail mans action. Again, what I read were opinions of reason for mail mans fears, that is NOT justifying bashing a dogs head. What I read were opinions why mail man should not find another line of work, again, NOT justifying his actions. What did I miss? If I am wrong I am woman enough to admit I over looked someone defending this demented dog killing man. PM me so as not to offend who you think defended this action.

you said it right, it's what YOU took from what you read, ya know, sometimes in cases such as this, we all get excited, angry, sick over such a brutal, unnecessary killing of an innocent lil baby. Sometimes in reading and wanting to get on to the next poster our mind skips over words because we are angry, sick, upset, and in a rush to post our opinions and in this rush of reading misinterprets just what was written . I just read and re-read all posts and did not see one person defends this man.

Why should I PM you? I have no interest in having a private discourse about this topic.

I stated MY opinions and what I took from the posts on this thread and stand by what I have said.

I am not wrong for having MY opinions and trust me, if I thought I was wrong I would say so. I don't care for your wording about being woman enough to admit I overlooked something. This has nothing to do with womanhood. :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
