| ![]() If symptoms are not improving I would go back to the vet. I would also make sure you write down the name of the medicine so it's not given to your dog again.

My own vet told me they have to be very careful about calculating for tiny pups because most drugs are made for larger breeds and they also use many human drugs these days. EVERY CALCULATION IS CRITICAL! We had vet's at Cornell Veterinary College misdiagnose our dog. We almost lost him. They were very apologetic afterward but that means little if your pet dies! I have worked in the human medical field for many years and have seen it all. There is no perfect doctor. They are human and make mistakes. That doesn't mean there are not good people in the medical field or in veterinary practice but there are enough bad ones that it is of utmost importance to know who you are dealing with and to be very involved in what they are doing. Blindly taking their word is not advisable for anyone. | |

Somehow it ended up being a discussion about how one should not blindly follow a vet. No one should blindly follow anyone and certainly NOT an internet person.
