Our foster left today, I'm so sad :(

It gets easier. My first foster I was totally crying when it was time for her to go. The adopting family even asks me if I was sure I was ready to let her go. LOL. They were perfect for her, more perfect than staying with me. That's how I knew. That's pretty much how I gauge all my potential fosters. If I think the dog will do better with them, they go. If I think the dog would do better staying with me, then I don't approve them.

It's hard when they leave... But if you kept them all, you couldn't continue to foster!

I was a horrible teary mess yesterday. Today I'm still super sad but I know he is in a good home where he will be very loved.

Today my 7 yr old gave me a mother's day gift he made at school and it was a notepad with all our dogs names on it, including Calvin's. That made me sad, but at the same time happy that I have such a sweet little boy <3. (who is usually more of a little stinker! haha)
