By the way, she was treated and cured in a matter of weeks and had no recurrence for the rest of her life. |
Please take a moment and write or email the Texas Board of Veterinary Medicine and ask them to REVOKE the license to practice veterinary medicine of Dr. Lou Tierce: email: vet.board@tbvme.state.tx.us write: Texas State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners 333 Guadalupe St., Tower III, Suite 810 Austin, Texas 78701 |

So far his license is only suspended for 2 months. I hope everyone who reads this takes the time to contact the link mentioned above to let the board know how you feel about this case. I know that often doctors will cover or sweep incidents "under the rug," so to speak, for each other thinking that maybe they could be in need of help some time in the future. The longer this case is kept in the public eye the less chance there is for the board to decide to give this guy another chance. |
Anny more word on how Sid is doing? This breaks my heart... |

Me too I worry about Sid. Good grief a 170lb dog having back surgery, I do wonder if the family is up to the necessary rehab? You know they will need to use some sort of sling to hoist him up and walk him out to pee and poo. Then there is the lifting him up into the car to go to vet appointments. THat poor doggie, he has been through so very much in his short life!!! That vet needs his license taken away permanently!!! If he himself was/is sick so be it, but he should not be practicing medicine! |
ANOTHER lawsuit filed against Dr. Lou Tierce. This story is even more horrible than the story of Sid the Leonburger. This case involves a Chihuahua who Dr. Tierce was supposed to euthanize, but which was kept alive for experiments, including being placed under a heat lamp until his eyes dried out in his head. The dog was discovered alive and on death's door during the late April raid, and subsequently had to be euthanized.
